Laurens County Recycling Center in Gray Court is the small county recycling site locals use when clearing out household recyclables. It’s the kind of place neighbors pull into with a trunk full of sorting bins or a pickup bed after a weekend cleanup. People from around the county stop here to keep common recyclables out of the landfill.
Drive up Webb Road to a modest entrance with an attendant booth near the drive; there’s a scale you pass on the way in and again as you leave, so plan for a short wait if there’s a line. The grounds are open with large roll-off containers and labeled drop-off points - paper and cardboard, plastics and glass, and a metal collection area are usually visible. Vehicles pull up, unload beside the appropriate container, and then exit back toward the scale and booth. Weekends and spring cleanup days fill up fast, and the site feels practical rather than fancy: concrete pads, gravel lanes, and a handful of signs pointing to each material.
