Lancaster County Recycling is the county-run recycling center on Bethel Road that locals drop household recyclables at. Neighbors, landscapers, and people doing cleanouts use this spot to keep stuff out of the landfill. The place handles common curbside and bulk recyclable materials and runs a few special programs for things like electronics and tires at times.
A small entrance booth and a drive-in layout are easy to spot from the road; the site feels like a working county facility with big outdoor bays and rows of roll-off containers. There’s usually a scale and a traffic flow for trucks and cars-pull in, sort at the containers, then head back toward the exit. The recycling bins tend to be grouped together, with metal, cardboard, and glass separated from other items, and signs on the containers show what goes where. Weekends, especially during seasonal cleanups, get busy so expect a line of pickups and trailers.
