(843) 832-0070KnighTransfer Stationville Recycling Center is the place locals head to for dropping off recyclables in Summerville. Mostly used by households clearing out bottles, cans, paper and cardboard, it sits on Central Ave and is handy for people doing yard or garage cleanups.
Drive past the entrance booth and pull into the lanes that lead toward the row of large containers; the recycling bins are off to the right just after the entrance area. There’s a scalehouse nearby for larger loads, so expect to slow down and stop twice if bringing a pickup or trailer. The site looks like a working yard with concrete pads, overhead canopies at some drop points, and signs above each container indicating common material types. On busy weekends and during spring cleanup the line can get long, and coastal seasons often bring spike in drop-offs tied to storm prep.
