(843) 347-1651Horry County Recycling and Solid Waste Convenience Center in Little River is the county-run place neighbors use to drop off household recyclables and small bulk items. Folks come with bags of bottles, flattened cardboard and things from garage cleanouts, not big commercial hauls. The site is aimed at keeping common recyclables out of the landfill and handling small residential loads.
Pull in from SC-111 and look for the entrance lane; many county convenience centers have a small booth or scale up front and then rows of large containers beyond that. Expect piles of roll-off bins and separate receptacles for paper, cardboard, glass, metals and plastics - some centers also run periodic programs for electronics or household hazardous items. The lot is usually paved with concrete ramps up to the big bins, so have items ready to toss into the correct container before backing up. Weekends and spring-cleanup times fill up fast, so plan for a short line at busy times.
