Hollywood Convenience Center

A small convenience center off SC-165 in Hollywood where locals drop off household trash, recyclables and yard debris. Used mostly by residents from the surrounding neighborhoods, it’s the kind of place people swing by with pick-up loads or a few bags from the yard. The site looks like a roadside drop-off rather than a full-scale transfer station.

Drive up to a simple entrance area with large roll-off containers spread out on a gravel or paved pad; there may be a small booth near the driveway. Pull up, sort items the way the bins are labeled, and back up to the appropriate container if needed. Some centers are only partly staffed or are unattended, so prepare to handle your own unloading. Expect lines on weekend mornings and extra traffic right before hurricane season when people clear yards and secure property.
