Greenwood County Landfills on Siloam Church Road is the county landfill in Greenwood, SC, where household trash and larger contractor loads end up. Contractors and residents both use this site; it’s the final burying spot rather than a place for sorting recyclables.
This is a fairly large, working landfill with heavy equipment, trucks and a gravel approach out front. Like most county landfills, tipping fees are charged (often by weight), so there’s usually a scale and a booth to pass on the way in and again when you leave. Drivers pull up to the booth, then are directed to an unloading area near the active cell or drop spot; expect dust and mud depending on the weather. Weekends and spring cleanup times get backed up, so plan for delays during busy periods.
