Georgetown County Subtitle D Landfill is the county dump out on Landfill Road in Georgetown, used by homeowners clearing out basements and by big commercial haulers. This is a Subtitle D landfill, so it’s the kind of place where garbage gets buried long-term and handles fairly large volumes. Tipping fees at this level are typically charged by weight, with different tiers for small residential drops and larger commercial loads.
Drive in past a small entrance area and plan to stop at a scale - trucks usually get weighed before and/or after dumping. The site is big: expect wide dirt roads, piles of compacted trash, and heavy equipment moving around all day. Lines get longer on weekends and during spring cleanup, so there may be a bit of wait time before it’s your turn. Keep windows up when near the tipping face and pull into the dumping lane when a spot opens up.
