(843) 398-4800Darlington County Recycling Center is the county recycling spot in Darlington for residents who want to keep recyclables out of the landfill. People bring household paper, cardboard, common plastics, glass and metal cans, and sometimes larger items handled through special programs. The site sees local traffic from routine drop-offs and seasonal cleanups alike.
Drive up to a staffed entrance area where an attendant will direct traffic; there’s usually a place to pull up, unload, and be directed to the recycling containers. The recycling collection bins are grouped together and easy to spot from the driveway, with larger collection areas or roll-offs set back from the main entrance. Many county centers have a scale and a booth, so be ready for a brief stop at the entrance and again when leaving if the site charges by weight. Weekends and spring cleanup days tend to be busiest, so expect lines then.
