Bees Ferry Road Subtitle D Landfill is the landfill on Bees Ferry Road in Charleston where trash that gets buried at the end of the line goes. Contractors, commercial haulers and residents with big loads all drop stuff here when curbside options won’t take it. It’s the kind of place you go to when there’s too much to fit in the pickup truck bed.
There’s a scale and a small entrance booth near the road - expect to stop to be weighed and then again on the way out since tipping fees are charged by weight and different rates can apply for commercial versus residential loads. Drive up to the booth, get directed (usually a quick wave or a sign) to the dumping area, then pull up to the active tipping face; trucks and trailers are common, and there are usually piles of cover soil and compacted cells in the distance. Lines can build up on weekends and during spring cleanup, so bring patience; the site looks like a working jobsite more than a tidy transfer center.
