(843) 255-2736Small, no-frills county convenience center on Sea Island Parkway that locals use to drop off household trash, recyclables and yard debris. Good for short runs from Saint Helena Island instead of driving into town; expect a compact, functional setup rather than a full-scale transfer station.
Drive up off Sea Island Pkwy into a modest paved lot with separate roll-off style containers and a few marked lanes for pull-up drop-offs. Many of these centers are set up for quick unloads-pull up to the nearest container, toss what fits, then move on; some sites have an entrance area or booth but others are unstaffed. Containers are usually grouped (trash, recycling, yard waste), and weekends and spring cleanup days can get busy so there may be a short wait to get to a bin. In coastal Beaufort County, expect cleanup activity around hurricane season when folks bring storm debris in.
