Aiken County Recycling Drop Off #8 is the county recycling center in Aiken where locals bring curbside overflow and items that don’t fit in regular pickup. Neighbors, contractors with small loads, and anyone sorting out recyclables from a household cleanout use this spot.
This is a county-run drop-off site, so expect a simple setup: an entrance area with a booth or gate and a row of large recycling containers a short drive in. Commonly accepted items at centers like this include paper and cardboard, rigid plastics, glass, aluminum and steel cans, and other basic recyclables; county centers sometimes offer electronics or bulky-item programs as well. Pull up slowly, sort loads at the edge of the drive if needed, and then wheel or carry items to the labeled bins. Weekends and spring cleanup days often have the longest lines, so there can be a bit of waiting.
Learn how to properly dispose of common items.
