(800) 869-5566This is the Western Berks Landfill run by Waste Management in Birdsboro - the actual burial site where trash ends up. Local residents and commercial haulers use it for final disposal and larger commercial loads are accepted at this site. It’s the kind of place you go when curbside or transfer stations won’t take what you have.
There’s a weighbridge and a small entrance booth, so expect to slow down and have your load checked and weighed; fees are tied to weight and there’s usually a second stop to exit the scale. The lot is big and mostly open, with working areas, compacted trash faces, and heavy equipment moving around - visibility is better on clear days than in fog or snow. Trucks and trailers pull up to specific tipping areas; passenger vehicles may be directed differently. Lines can form on weekends and during seasonal cleanups, so be prepared for brief waits.
