Indian Valley Transfer Station

400 Progress Drive, Telford, PA 18969

800-963-4776

A local transfer station where household and small commercial loads are dropped off before being sent on to a landfill. People from Telford and nearby towns use it when the landfill is too far to drive to for routine cleanouts. It’s the sort of place visited when clearing out a garage or handling a small renovation haul.

There’s an entrance booth and a drive-in area with a scale that most drivers roll over; the scale is part of how they keep track of trucked loads. Pull up to the booth, then follow signs and staff direction to the tipping area or compactors; the whole site feels industrial - concrete bays, big metal containers, and trucks coming and going. Recycling or drop-off bins tend to be grouped near the entrance or just past the booth, and the traffic pattern usually requires backing into a bay or pulling alongside a container. Weekends, and especially spring cleanup times, get a lot busier so lines and waiting are common.

Before You Go

  • Bring ID and vehicle registration in case it’s requested for a residential drop-off.
  • Tie down tarps and secure loose items before driving in so nothing blows out or needs extra handling.
  • Try for a weekday morning if possible - fewer trucks and shorter lines than weekend afternoons.
