Grand Central Landfill is the big burial site out on Pen Argyl Road that handles residential and commercial loads in the area. Locals and haulers both use it when regular pickup or transfer stations aren't an option. The place is clearly large - fields of capped cells and active working faces are visible from the drive.
Drive past the entrance booth and then you'll cross a scale - landfills in this region typically charge tipping fees by weight, so expect to stop again on the way out for a second weigh-in. Pull up to the unloading area as directed; trucks and pick-ups share the same lanes, so watch for heavy equipment and follow the signage and attendants. The site looks industrial: gravel drives, compacting machines, and piles of cover soil or daily fill. Weekends and spring cleanup times get busy, so there can be a line to get through the booth and onto the scale.
