(814) 479-2483GFL Southern Alleghenies Landfill is the big burial site out on Miller Picking Road that locals and haulers use when trash can't be handled at a transfer station. Most users are a mix of neighborhood drop-offs and larger commercial or contractor loads needing a final disposal spot.
Drive up to an entrance booth and prepare to stop for directions; there’s typically a scale on site so vehicles are weighed coming in and again on the way out. The place looks industrial - large cells of compacted material, heavy equipment moving about, and paved lanes for trucks. Larger commercial trucks share the site with pickup and trailer loads, so expect tight turns and to be directed where to tip or unload.
