It’s the kind of place where pickup trucks, landscaping rigs and tractor-trailers all line up to tip loads into the working face.
The site is large and open, with visible cells and compacted earth mounds where material gets buried over time. Expect to drive onto a scale both coming in and going out since most landfills charge by weight, and there’s typically an attendant booth near the entrance where directions are given. Vehicles pull up to the tipping area, unload at designated spots, and then exit back over the scale; the whole process can take longer if there’s a line of commercial trucks. On busy weekends or during seasonal cleanups, traffic backs up, so be prepared for some waiting.
