Waste Management - Hillsboro Landfill

3205 SE Minter Bridge Rd, Hillsboro, OR 97123

(866) 909-4458

A working landfill on the east side of Hillsboro where both residents and businesses bring trash that’s headed to the final burial cell. Lots of local contractors and people doing big cleanups use it, so expect a steady stream of trucks most weekdays and busier weekends during yard cleanup seasons.

There’s a weigh scale and an attendant booth at the entrance - vehicles stop, get weighed, go dump, then stop again on the way out for a final weight. The property is large and mostly gravel with open tipping areas and visible earth-moving equipment; don’t expect landscaped grounds. Because Oregon emphasizes recycling, many people arrive with recyclables sorted beforehand and commercial loads are commonly accepted and charged by weight.

Before You Go

  • Pull up to the booth slowly and have your vehicle ready to be weighed; larger trailers and trucks take more time to position on the scale.
  • Bring recyclables separated from regular trash - pickup for bottle-deposit items is often handled elsewhere in town and sorting speeds things up.
  • Avoid weekend mornings in spring and early summer if possible; lines and wait times get noticeably longer then.
