(541) 482-1471Valley View Transfer Station is the local transfer station in Ashland where residents drop off household trash and recyclables. Small trucks, pickups, and trailers are common here; it’s used by folks who don’t want to drive out to a distant landfill. Expect a practical, working site rather than a polished recycling center.
A drive-up entrance with an attendant booth and a scale is visible as vehicles line up; loads are weighed and then compacted before being hauled out. Pull forward to the booth when it’s your turn, show what’s in the vehicle, and follow signs or arrows to the unloading area. Recycling bins are usually grouped to one side and are easy to spot, while the main tipping area is a big open concrete pad. Weekends and spring cleanup times often have longer lines and more activity on site.
