Tillamook County Landfill

1315 Eckloff Rd, Tillamook, OR 97141

(503) 842-2431

A county landfill on the outskirts of Tillamook, used by residents and businesses dropping off household trash and larger loads. Folks bringing construction waste, yard debris or regular trash will find the big working site off Eckloff Road.

You'll drive up to an entrance booth and cross a scale - vehicles are weighed so there’s usually a stop going in and another stop back out. The site is large and industrial: dirt roads, compacted piles of material, and heavy equipment moving around. Pull up where staff direct traffic, then unload at the appropriate tipping area before returning to the scale to settle charges based on weight. Recycling or bottle returns in this part of Oregon are often handled separately, so bring sorted materials if possible.

Before You Go

  • Cover loose loads with a tarp to prevent wind-blown debris and to keep things tidy on the drive in.
  • Expect slower lines on weekends and during spring cleanup; extra time saves stress if hauling a big load.
  • Have materials roughly sorted before arriving - separating bulky items from regular trash speeds the process and avoids extra handling.
