Thomas Creek Road Landfill sits out on Thomas Creek Road just outside Lakeview. It’s a working landfill where trash gets buried and local haulers and residents bring loads. Don’t expect anything fancy - more dirt, trucks and bins than landscaped grounds.
Like most landfills of this type, there’s usually a scale and an entrance booth so loads get weighed and tipping fees are based on weight. Pull in, slow down for big trucks, and follow the flow toward the disposal pad; drivers often stop at the scale on both the way in and the way out. The site is generally gravel and dusty in dry weather, sloppy when wet, with large mounds of cover soil and open cells visible from the road. Lines build up on weekends and during spring cleanup season, so be ready for a short wait at busy times.
