Waste Management - Oklahoma City Recycling Facility

5600 NW 4th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73127

(405) 949-7563

A city recycling center in northwest Oklahoma City that sees both residential and small commercial drop-offs. Locals use it for getting cardboard, paper, cans and bottles out of the trash and onto the right piles.

The site looks like an industrial yard with large roll-off containers and open transfer areas rather than a neat retail lot. Pull up to the entrance and someone or signage will direct where to unload; expect to drive slowly through the property and stop at drop points for different materials. There are separate containers or bays for common recyclables such as cardboard, mixed paper, and containers, and loads are typically sorted by the person dropping them off. Weekends and spring-cleanup times are noticeably busier, so queues can form at peak times.

Before You Go

  • Bring recyclables already separated and flattened where possible-it makes unloading quicker and saves time in line.
  • Secure loose items with a tarp or straps before hauling; windy Oklahoma weather can scatter lightweight materials on the drive home.
  • Plan for some wait time on Saturdays and during seasonal cleanup; arriving early in the day often helps avoid the longest lines.
