Southern Plains Landfill sits off County Street 2910 just outside Ninnekah. It's the local place where household trash and larger hauls end up buried, used by residents with pickup loads and by commercial haulers bringing bigger loads.
Drive in and the site looks big - wide gravel drives, dirt cells, and heavy equipment moving around. Near the entrance there is typically a scale and a small booth; landfills of this scale commonly use a tipping-fee system based on weight. Pull up slowly and be ready to be directed to a dumping spot, and plan for a second weigh if they charge by weight. Expect commercial trucks coming and going, so watch for backing vehicles and keep to the traffic flow.
