(419) 238-9200Young's Trash Service Transfer Station is the small transfer station on E Jackson that locals use when a landfill drive isn't worth the trip. People drop off household loads and smaller contractor loads here; the trucks then compact and haul everything out to a landfill elsewhere. It's the kind of place that feels like a working yard rather than a public park.
Drive up to a little entrance booth and be prepared to stop - there’s usually a scale you roll over so loads can be weighed. The site has large concrete bays and open tipping areas where trucks and pickups back in; expect some clanking and diesel noise. Recycling bins, if present, tend to sit off to one side near the edge of the property, with larger roll-off containers and compacting equipment further in. Lines build on weekends and during spring cleanup, so there can be a short wait to get to the drop-off point.
