(419) 396-3541Wyandot County Solid Waste Management District & Recycling Center in Carey is the place locals use to drop off recyclables and keep things out of the landfill. Neighbors, small households and folks doing seasonal cleanups tend to go here for a lot of everyday stuff that gets recycled rather than tossed.
As with most county recycling centers, expect a modest, working-site look - gravel or paved driveways, labeled containers and a small attendant booth or office near the entrance. Bring items reasonably sorted; common recyclables at centers like this include paper and cardboard, glass, plastics and metals, and sometimes electronics and yard materials through special programs. Pull up to the stall or scales if present, unload into the right bin, then check back in if weight is taken for the load. Weekends-especially spring cleanup days-can be busy and a line to get in isn’t unusual.
