(440) 723-8483Small recycling center out on Butternut Ridge that locals drive to when clearing out the garage or dropping off curbside overflow. Mostly used by residents and small haulers looking to keep cardboard, cans, glass and scrap metal out of the landfill. It sits back from the road with a visible entrance and an attendant booth near the drive-in.
Pull in and merge into a single lane that leads past a weigh scale and the attendant booth; many people stop at the booth first to get directed. The drop-off area is fairly open with large roll-off bins and piles for different materials; cardboard and mixed recyclables are set off to one side and metal is usually in another. Vehicles typically pull up to the appropriate bin and hand things over or toss them directly; trailers and trucks are common on busy days. Weekends and spring cleanup see the most congestion, so expect a line of cars at the entrance then a quicker unload once at the bins.
