Franklin County Sanitary Landfill is the county landfill out on London-Groveport Road (SR‑665) in Grove City; it’s where larger loads and drop-offs end up. Residents, landscapers and haulers use it when curbside pickup won’t do. The site is big and has the look of a working landfill rather than a park.
Drive in from SR‑665 and follow the access road to the entrance area - most county landfills have a booth and a scale, and tipping fees are generally charged by weight so expect to stop to be weighed. Trucks and trailers pull up to unloading spots while compacted cells and capped mounds sit off to the side; it’s mostly gravel and packed earth underfoot. Lines can back up on weekends and during spring cleanup, so there will be times with a wait. Recycling and drop-off bins are typically grouped near the entrance area, and having things ready to unload speeds the visit.
