County Environmental Landfill of Wyandot is the county landfill out on County Road 4 near Carey, used by both residents and commercial haulers. It’s a working landfill - the kind of place where loads are buried and big trucks come and go.
Pulling in, there’s an entrance booth and a scale to stop at, and tipping fees are weight-based so expect to be weighed. The site is large with high, compacted mounds and plenty of heavy equipment moving around; give trucks room to maneuver. Unloading happens at active faces rather than a neat drop-off yard, so follow any on-site signs or flow and be prepared for a short drive in to the working area.
