A local drop-off spot on NC-42 in Wilson for household trash, recycling and yard debris. Neighbors and small-haul residents use this center when hauling out bags, brush or recyclables that won’t fit in curbside bins.
The site looks like a typical county convenience center: an entrance booth and a weight scale are the first things seen from the road, and there are large roll-off containers and piles for yard waste beyond that. Pull up to the booth to get directions for where to place items, then drive slowly down the lanes to the appropriate container or pile. Recycling receptacles are usually grouped to the right of the main entrance while trash and brush areas sit farther back. Weekends and spring cleanup times get noticeably busier, so be prepared to wait behind pickups and trailers.
