Wake County Convenience Center Site 7

9008 Deponie Dr, Raleigh, NC 27614

(919) 856-7400

Small neighborhood convenience center in southeast Wake County, used mostly by Raleigh residents dropping off household trash, recyclables and yard debris. Short trips and pickup-truck loads are common here, with people swinging in between errands or after yard work.

The site is compact - think of a few large roll-off containers and a small attended or unattended drop-off point rather than a full transfer station. Pull up slowly to the shelter or booth area to check where each pile goes, then back up to the appropriate container; some spots require a bit of maneuvering. Weekends, especially in spring and fall, get busier and lines form near the entrance, so expect to wait a bit at peak times. The surface is paved but can be dusty or muddy after rain, and there are usually signs marking the major container types.

Before You Go

  • Sort loads at home into trash, recyclables and yard waste so unloading goes faster and keeps traffic moving.
  • Bring help or a dolly for heavy or awkward items - lifting into a roll-off from a truck bed can be tough solo.
  • Plan for weekend crowds during seasonal cleanups; arriving midweek or earlier in the morning often means less waiting.
