There’s typically an entrance booth and a scale to stop at; many landfills charge by weight, so be prepared to be weighed and to stop again on the way out. Pull up slowly on the gravel road, listen for directions, and follow signs toward the unloading/tipping area where trucks and trailers back in to dump. The site looks industrial rather than tidy - heavy equipment, dirt piles and a clear working face where loads are delivered. Lines can form, especially on weekends and during seasonal cleanups, so allow extra time.
