(336) 727-8000Old Salisbury Road Construction Demolition Landfill is the big city dump out past the west side of Winston-Salem used by contractors and homeowners hauling demo and construction debris. Big trucks and pickups both show up here; it’s the kind of place that gets steady commercial traffic during the week and busier on weekends in fair weather.
There’s a scale house where vehicles stop to be weighed, so expect to pull up, get weighed, tip off, then stop again on the outbound scale for final charges. The site is large and mostly open with piles of inert construction material and compacted cover areas; sightlines are wide so watch for heavy equipment moving around. A small entrance booth controls traffic flow, and dumping takes place at designated fill faces where staff direct vehicles. Residential and commercial loads are handled here, and tipping fees are assessed based on weight rather than by load count.
