Lamont Landfill on Lamont Rd just outside Vass is the local landfill folks use for household and commercial trash. It’s the final place where loads get buried, and expect to see everything from pickups to larger trucks coming in and out.
There’s a scale and an intake booth near the entrance, so plan on stopping to be weighed before and after dumping since tipping fees are typically based on weight. The site is big and mostly gravel - large dirt piles, heavy equipment and slow-moving trucks are normal, so take it easy driving around. After the booth, follow the traffic flow to whatever active dumping area is being used that day; locations for metal, construction debris or regular trash can be separate. Watch for dust and uneven ground; steering clear of the active equipment keeps things moving safely.
