(336) 764-0431County of Davidson Midway Recycle Center is a local recycling center in Lexington that residents and small businesses use to drop off recyclables and bulky items. Located on Salvage Road, it’s the kind of place people stop at between errands to unload cardboard, metal, electronics, and other recyclables. Plenty of neighbors swing by during cleanup season to keep stuff out of the landfill.
The site looks like a typical county recycling lot: a staffed entrance booth and a paved drive that leads to several drop-off bays and large roll-off containers. Pull up, sort materials into the appropriate containers, and then move on - the lanes are wide enough for trucks and trailers. Expect concrete pads, piles of baled cardboard or scrap metal, and covered areas for more sensitive items. Weekends and spring cleanup days tend to be the busiest, so lines can form.
