Small regional transfer station in Westhampton used by town residents and local contractors. A working, no-frills place where household trash and bulky items are dropped off before being hauled out to a landfill. Located at 66 Old Country Rd, it's the kind of spot people use when a regular curbside pickup won't do.
Pull up to an entrance booth where attendants check vehicles and direct traffic; expect to stop there first. There’s usually a scale to drive over either coming in or going out since many transfer stations charge by weight. The site is mostly concrete and pavement with large compactors and roll-off areas; trucks and trailers move around, so watch for tight turns. Recycling or drop-off bins tend to sit to one side of the main tipping area, and weekends can get noticeably busier than weekdays.
