(866) 909-4458A mid-size recycling center at the Valencia Regional Landfill complex used by homeowners and small haulers from around Los Lunas and nearby towns. The site is set along NM-6 and handles the usual household recyclables and bulky items that people don't want in curbside bins. Expect a practical, working-yard feel rather than anything fancy.
Drive in past the entrance booth and pull up to a scale or check-in area before heading to the sorting bays. The recycling bins and drop-off lanes are easy to spot-often to the right after the entrance-with separate spots for paper/cardboard, metals, glass and mixed containers at most centers. The ground is dusty, especially in dry months, and trucks and trailers are common, so slow down and watch for backing vehicles. Lines build up on weekends and during spring cleanup, so be prepared to wait a bit if it’s busy.
