(505) 424-1850Santa Fe Solid Waste Management is the municipal solid waste facility serving Santa Fe residents and local contractors. It’s the place to bring household trash, yard debris, and standard recyclables rather than leaving them on the curb. Locals use it for drop-offs during cleanup weekends and for loads that won’t fit in a regular trash pickup.
The site is a large open yard with drive-up lanes and a clearly visible entrance booth where vehicles stop before proceeding. Expect separate areas for dropping off regular trash, bulk items, and recyclables, with traffic flowing in a loop so trucks and pickups can pull up and unload. There’s usually heavy equipment and piles of material in the back, so watch for heavy vehicles and follow posted signs. Weekends, especially spring cleanup time, tend to be the busiest and lines can form at the entrance booth.
