Lea County Landfill is the county dump out on East State Road 234 in Eunice, where residents and businesses bring full pickup loads, trailers, and larger hauls for burial. It’s the kind of place people go when there’s nothing left to do with the junk at home.
Drive in off SR 234 and slow down - most county landfills have a scale or weigh station so vehicles stop on the way in and again on the way out. The site is open and often dusty, with heavy equipment and piled, compacted cells visible from the entrance. Look for a small check-in booth or office near the driveway; after unloading there’s typically a return to the scale to record the outbound weight and assess tipping fees.
