(505) 761-8100Albuquerque Solid Waste Department is the city facility on Edith Boulevard where residents and small haulers drop off household trash, yard debris, and recyclables. It’s the kind of place people use when a curbside pickup won’t do or for bigger cleanups around town.
The site looks like a big industrial yard with lots of trucks, roll-off containers and a small entrance booth where traffic gets directed. Vehicles usually pull up, get directed to a dump area or recycling area, then exit after passing a scale or checkout point. Expect dust, gravel, and heavy equipment moving about; slow driving and attention to signage are a must. Lines can form on weekends and during spring cleanup, so there may be a short wait before getting to a drop-off bay.
