(908) 453-2174Small county landfill run by the Pollution Control Financing Authority of Warren County, located just off Mt Pisgah Ave in Oxford. Locals and haulers use it for final disposal of refuse; both residential drop-offs and commercial trucks are common here. The site sits on a fairly large parcel, so expect a working landfill rather than a tidy transfer station.
There’s a weigh scale and a guarded entrance booth where vehicles stop to be logged and weighed - charges are typically based on weight, so drivers usually stop twice (in and out). Large piles of compacted material and lined cells are visible from the access road; commercial rigs share the traffic with pickup trucks and trailers. Vehicles pull up to a tipping area and then drive back over the scale to record the outbound weight; queues can form on weekends and during spring cleanup. Recycling or drop-off containers are often set off to the side of the main tipping area, separate from the landfill face.
