Middlesex County Landfill in East Brunswick is the county’s main place for burying municipal and commercial trash. Neighbors, landscapers, and haulers all end up here when a load needs to be disposed of rather than recycled. The site sits off Edgeboro Road and is unmistakable once the road opens up into the fenced area.
There’s an entrance booth and a scale - loads get weighed and tipping fees are charged by weight, so expect to stop more than once. Large earth mounds, heavy equipment, and wide paved lanes are what the site looks like; trucks and pickup beds queue up in lanes rather than parking spaces. Commercial trucks are handled here, so watch for big vehicles and follow the traffic flow into the unloading area. Lines build up on weekends and during spring cleanup, so busy periods feel crowded and slow.
