Read more →Gaeta Recycling is a neighborhood recycling center in Paterson that locals and small haulers use to keep materials out of the landfill. Located on W Railway Ave, it handles the sort of household and small-business recycling common in densely populated New Jersey towns.
The site looks like a typical drop-off yard: a small entrance booth with a gate, piles or containers for different materials, and a place to pull up and unload. Most people pull up alongside the appropriate container - the recycling bins are usually visible from the drive lane - then back out to rejoin traffic. As with many county-area centers, expect to separate paper, cardboard, glass, metals and many plastics; some centers also have electronics or bulky-item programs. Weekends and spring cleanup times get busy, so there can be a line to get in and a short wait at the scale or gate.
