Atlantic County Utilities Authority Landfill on Delilah Road is Egg Harbor Township’s municipal landfill, used by residents and commercial haulers for final burial of trash. Big trucks and heavy equipment are common, so it feels like an industrial site rather than a small transfer station. Like most landfills, expect tipping fees charged by weight and that commercial loads are typically accepted.
Drive up to an entrance booth and slow down for a scale - vehicles are usually weighed and then directed up to the active dumping area. The tipping area is an open dirt cell with bulldozers and compactors working to spread and cover material, so there’s dust and noise. Pull up where instructed, dump, then typically return to the scale to be weighed again before payment is handled. Lines form on weekends and during spring cleanups, so plan for some wait time.
