Apex Regional Landfill is the large landfill out on US‑93 north of Las Vegas, used by neighborhood folks and commercial haulers alike. It’s the kind of place where trucks and pickups line up to dump - not a tidy drop-off, but the region’s burial site for municipal and construction debris. Expect a big, industrial setting rather than anything suburban.
Drive in and you'll see an entrance booth and a scale area; tipping fees at landfills like this are typically charged by weight so plan on stopping to be weighed. Traffic is mostly heavy equipment, roll‑offs and dump trucks, with wide gravel lanes and piled cells in various stages. Pull up to the booth and attendants will direct where to tip, then the return trip usually goes back over the scale. Weekends and seasonal cleanup times can slow things down; give yourself extra time if the lot looks busy.
