Drive up to a small entrance booth and cross a scale - tipping fees are typically charged by weight, so expect to stop again on the way out. After the scale there’s room to pull up to the tipping face or drop-off zone; surfaces are gravel or packed dirt and can get slick when wet. Heavy equipment moves around and there’s plenty of space for big trucks to turn, so give large rigs room. Lines often form on weekend mornings and during spring cleanup season.
