Small, no-frills landfill out on West Highway 30 that Kimball residents and local commercial haulers use. It’s where trash gets buried instead of processed, so expect heavy trucks and pickup loads. Practical setup-more functional than pretty.
Drive in from Highway 30 and you'll see a scale/booth at the entrance; tipping fees are charged by weight, so plan on stopping more than once. The lot is mostly gravel and dirt with heavy equipment moving piles and sculpted cells of earth. Pull up where other trucks are lining up and back into an unloading spot; it moves in batches rather than one vehicle at a time. Weekends, especially during spring cleanup, often have a line.
