(573) 492-6256Small transfer station out on Audrain Road that locals use when hauling stuff too big for curb pickup. Mostly used by residents and small haulers who want to drop off a compacted load before it heads to a landfill elsewhere. Easy to spot from the road once close, with truck traffic coming and going.
Pull up to a clearly marked entrance where there’s usually an entrance booth and a scale nearby; traffic flow means trucks and pickups share the same lanes. Loads are compacted and loaded into larger trucks here, so expect a lot of heavy equipment, concrete pads and a concrete or gravel yard. Recycling or drop-off bins may sit off to one side beyond the booth, and vehicles typically back up to bays or open pits to unload. Weekends and spring cleanup times can get busy, so there may be a line of vehicles waiting to get in.
