Read more →Stone County Solid Waste is the county's general drop-off in Wiggins where locals bring household trash, yard clippings, and stuff from around the property. Farmers, folks cleaning out garages, and anyone hauling a truck or trailer tend to end up here. The site sits on Court Street and looks like a typical county solid-waste place rather than a tidy commercial recycling center.
Drive up a short access road to a small booth at the entrance; most vehicles pause there before going onto the scale. The lot is mostly gravel with piles for yard waste and large roll-off boxes and bins lined up; recycling containers are usually off to one side. Trucks get weighed in and out on the scale, so plan for a brief stop at both ends of the visit. Weekends, especially in spring, can back up with pickups and trailers, so expect some wait time if arriving then.
