Kosciusko Transfer Station

Kosciusko Transfer Station is the small county transfer spot off Fenwick Street that locals use when they don't want to drive all the way to a regional landfill. Neighbors drop off household trash and larger loads here; it's the sort of place seen more often by pickup trucks and trailers than by passenger cars. You'll notice it feels like a working site rather than a tidy drop-off center.

There’s an entrance with a booth where vehicles stop before moving into the compaction area. Drive-up lanes lead to a bay or pit where loads are emptied and then compacted into larger trucks for transport. The site has heavy equipment and piles of materials nearby, so expect dusty surfaces and a working-yard look. Recycling or roll-off bins, if present, tend to sit to one side of the main tipping area.
