(662) 324-7566Small regional solid waste facility serving Starkville and surrounding parts of the Golden Triangle. Locals bring household trash, yard waste and recyclables here, especially during big cleanups and yard work seasons. It’s the kind of place county residents use when curbside pickup won’t do the job.
Pull in off Old West Point Road toward a gated entrance with an attendant booth and a drive-over scale; trucks and trailers line up at busy times so be prepared to wait. Drop-off areas are out in the open with large roll-off containers and piles for yard debris, and recycling bins are typically grouped to one side of the main pad. Vehicles usually need to stop at the booth first to be checked in, then proceed to the appropriate unloading spot. The whole site is practical and functional rather than landscaped-expect gravel, pavement, and heavy equipment noise.
