Golden Triangle Regional Landfill is the regional landfill out on Old West Point Road in Starkville (2505 Old West Point Road). Locals and commercial haulers both use it; as a regional facility it takes larger commercial loads and operates with tipping fees charged by weight that vary by material and load size.
The site is large with open cells, gravel roads and heavy equipment moving around-think big trucks and dusty surfaces rather than a tidy drop-off lot. There’s an entrance booth and a scale, so expect to stop to check in and to get weighed (often a second stop on the way out). Pull up slowly at the entrance, follow the posted signs to the unloading area, and be prepared for some walking on uneven ground while unloading. Lines build up sometimes, especially on busy weekends and during seasonal cleanups.
